I received my Ph.D. in Technology Management-Digital Communication Systems, at Indiana State University. I received a Masters in Technical & Professional Communication from East Carolina University and I earned my Baccalaureate Degree in English from Hilbert College. I just recently completed all seven Certificate in Online Instruction from Quality Matters. In addition I have a Certificate in Facility Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and I completed a Certificate in Online Instruction from Central Michigan University.

I teach an array of management, communication, project management, and computer information system courses, including: Communication Strategies, Group Processes, Project Management, Operations Management, Leadership, Principles of Management, Introduction to Management, ePortfolio Development, Prior Learning Assessment, Decisions Analysis, Research Methods, Technology Management, Technology Assessment, Technology Transfer, Management Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Design, Professional Communication, Technical Communication, Impacts of Technology, Future of Technology, E-commerce, Internet Research Methods, Web Development, Interactive Media Design, and Introduction to Computers & Programming. I also teach graduate level courses in Operations Management, Project Management, Capstone, and more. 

Recently, I was the Interim Dean of the School of Management and Professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA. My role as a new Dean included supporting the highest quality educational programs for the School of Management and coordinating the development of and implementing the University’s Vision and Goals related to four foundations: inclusive excellence, high-value learning, exceptional student experience, and strong partnerships with the industry, the community, and the alumni. I provided academic leadership and reported directly to the Provost. I was responsible for, but not limited to, academic planning, enhancement of programs, curriculum, teaching, scholarship and service, accreditation, recruitment of faculty, faculty development and evaluation, student recruitment, advising, budget development, and allocation of resources. I returned fully to faculty April 2021. 


For several years, I was a Technical Writer for Prentice Hall on a contractual basis, planning, writing and editing technical manuals and computer text books. I also work periodically as a training consultant developing, planning & implementing specific software training seminars, leadership training, and planning facilitated meetings. In addition, I have performed computer and communications consultancy work, specializing in software training and installation, network planning and support, database design & management and web design & support.

I am a member of AAEEBL (The Association for Authentic, Experiential, and Evidence-Based Learning: http://aaeebl.org). As an association member, I am an Executive Co-Editor of The AAEEBL Review (AePR) Journal (previously "The Learner" AAEEBL's monthly newsletter). I am also a member of PMI and the faculty sponsor to the Student Association of Management (SAM) Club.
