Teaching
I believe that it is an honor and a privilege to teach. I plan to continue my learner-focused and open-knowledge approach in all of my courses. I believe, however, that it is important to be open to change based on solicited and constructive feedback from all my students. I plan to continue reviewing my courses on a yearly basis and editing and changing my courses based on student feedback. In addition, in all my courses I plan to continue utilizing the community partnership and external based learning into as many courses as I can.
Scholarly and Creative Activity
At this stage of my career and with my passion for eportfolios I plan to continue with my eportfolio research.
Service
I strive to be a good citizen to the academic community, the surrounding Mission Hill community, my fellow scholars and practitioners, and in the community in which I live both professionally and personally.
I believe that my colleagues value me as a faculty member and active contributor to our department and within other departments. Because I have the education and experience to teach Project Management, Operations, IT, Management and Technology, Communication courses and many computer courses, I know that I serve as a valuable resource for committee work and as an instructor. I plan to have an active role in developing graduate programs, or other programs. My contributions might include: program of study planning, teaching, administration, and other academic responsibilities that would lend way to an excellent program.
My mission is to to help lead our students and other faculty into a new era of technology, communications, management of technology, online/hybrid learning, and the use of eportfolios. The world is ever changing and with my experience and training, we will bring home those technologies, skills, theories, and methods to successfully advance students in their educational and life long learning goals.
